Confessions of an Idllyic Mind

Sorries was going to post this up earlier but i just didnt have the zing to do it. Yes the "long awaited" (to some audience only) post on my recent trip to Singapore trip is here. Got to tour the New York of South East Asia. Atleast by my standards. Well the trip was very well coordinated. Very systematic. Reason being that it wasnt planned by me. hehe. All thanx to Gillian's sis and gillian and Ling. I just had to sit back and enjoy the wild roller coaster ride that Singapore took me.

The fast in Singapore:

1) People on the streets
2) The Singaporean Hokkien's rapid fire of verbal mumbo jumbo (faster than speeding bullets i kid you not)
3) The escalators in the MRTs (nearly fell flat on my face and tush)
4) The walk-a-lators in the Changi airport. It's so fast that i felt as if i was travelling through time. The ones in KLIA hopeless case
5) The people that zooms in like a hungry vulture upon a carcass in the sahara when they spot an empty seat in the Takashimaya food court.
6) The MRTs ofcourse
7) The amount of SGDs that flew out of my pocket during my short shopping trip

The shiny in Singapore:

1) ALL vehicles on the road - Includes delivery vehicles (Picasso would be happy in KL. He doesnt have to waste money on canvases. He has the parked vehicles in parking lots to do his drawing on.)
2) The Ah Behs heads in the old coffee shops - my people watching skills has indeed improved
3) The jewellery that the Singaporean women adorn on themselves when they go out.
4) My eyes throughout the shopping trip.

Not according to popular belief, i Didnt buy much from Singapore ok. I only bought a set of lovely Japanese bowls (my mom's obsession) from Isetan for my mommy dearest and a pair of jeans for myself from Giodarno. Had to forgo the beautiful pair of sandals from Charles & Keith. Pity pity. There musnt much to get anyways eventhough its the Great Singapore Sale. Maybe cause i wasnt feeling too well throughout the trip. Was TOO hot.
