The tale of a glutton continues .....

Last night my very good friend Calvin took me out for FONDUE! Went and ate in The Fondue House. Was keen on trying it for a very long time so I finally got the chance last nite. Have always thought bout the Swedish people sitting in their snow lodge, overlooking the alps, after a tiring yodeling session, they would sit in their balconies with a big pot of melted cheese and a basket of bread. Thats my idea of Fondue. But then it wasnt like that at all. One big reason being that Malaysia does not snow silly! hahaha .. (sorry for the utmost lameness. must be the overload of cheese in my system now)

So we ordered enough for 4 people. Didnt how big the portion would be till we saw it.

Menu:

Main course

~
Chicken cheese fondue accompanied with a basket of bread, breadsticks and crackers and breadcrumbed chicken (wine added)

Desert

~ Whiskey chocolate fondue accompanied with a plate of mixed fruits and assorted sprinkles

The main course was too filling for me. The gigantic amount of cheese that i've had. Oh my..
But the desert was delicious!!! So delicious its almost a sin to be eatting so much of it. There wasnt much of a whiskey taste but the smell oh my .. *faints*

Here are some pictures from my yummy meal. Too bad the technology does not permit a scratch and sniff computer screen or else you guys can atleast smell what i ate. Mua ha ha ha

The reason why my previous post was entitled
Around the world (almost) in 1 day

I was in the US! Just kidding. Lady Liberty in Gentings

Me in front of Genting's version of the Eiffel Tower

The Big Ben

Was at the Oscars too!

Other interesting pictures .... Have to be continued in the next post. This @$%#% thing is not letting me insert more pics inside .... to be continued ....

How on earth is it possible to visit Paris, England, USA and the Middle East in a day's time? There is only one place in Malaysia that makes that possible for "Jet Laggers" (As oppose to Jet Setters) like me. The place? Genting Highlands ofcourse. Travelled all the way up there on winding roads in an EXPRESS bus yesterday. When i say Express, its seriously express. No joke! The bus driver took about 45 minutes to get up there. The Skyway (cable car) was closed for maintainance so the bus had to take us all the way up. Thank God it was closed. The last time i was in a cable car in Langkawi i cried all the way up and all the way down. Its just a little phobia i have about falling to my death. Anyone knows what that's called then tell me la hah. The bus driver was insanely insane (hmm.. that didnt make sense). He was racing with another bus driver and cursing the other driver and other drivers on the road because of their slacky ways on the road. Pls bear in mind that the roads were VERY narrow and curvy and its going uphill. The only thing breaking my fall if the bus ever tumbles down the hill into the forests would be a branch in the middle of my crotch. That is if i survive the fall from the bus. Was praying all the way up. Thank God im alive to be writing this.

I was starved when i got up there. Havent had bfast or lunch yet. We ended up having lunch that costs nearly rm50. Nutz ok. All food are more exp in Gentings. After that we bought the Senang Lenang theme park entrance tickets. Thats entitle us to a max of 6 family rides. Family rides includes rides that the elderly and very young children can sit on. So therefore you know how "exciting" they were. But i'm not complaining. I dont wanna go up to Gentings and die there of a massive heart attack or brain hemorrhage. I still had fun. However it started raining when me and my friend was boating. Its one of those cycling boat thinghies. We barely cycled for 5 mins and it started pouring. I dont know whether it was a blessing or a curse cause i was having SO much fun but my knees nearly collapsed. It was sheer human strength that enabled us to pedal all the way back to the docks. It poured and poured after that. Only managed to go to Dinosourland during the pour. Its some park with some dino figures la. It had a suspension bridge too. A short one.
Rain + Slippery floor boards + a girl having a phobia of falling to her death = A very coaxing friend having to endure the drama of the phobic girl crying before she stepped on the bridge and all the way accross.
The phobic girl was me. And yes i did cry all the way across.

After that we went to SnowWorld but the next sessions doesnt start till the next hr. So we got our tickets (rm17) and headed to the casino. Just for a visit dont worry. I never believe that gambling is the key to all the fortunes in the world. As we entered the Encik Police asked me for my ID. I was SO flattered. I actually looked young! WOO HOO! He must not have noticed my very matured boobs. hehe. I nearly fainted in the casino. I was not the one betting but i felt my heart palpitating as the banker took away the gambler's chips. Went through all of the tables. The most Kan cheong was the Black Jack tables. It was crazy! Old uncles yelling and aunties swearing. The money being exchanged during the game nuts! I have never seen so much cash in one go in my life! Rm1000 going just like that. Its too much for simple mind to even think about. Rm1000 i can buy so many stuff! But enough about that. No wonder the suicide rates in Genting itself is high. Losing all your money at one go can be pretty distressing. I hope that branch in between the crotch method saves them when they throw themselves over the cliff. Hey losing the ability to bear children is better than losing your life right?

So after that drama we went to SnowWorld!! It was loads of fun! I havent seen snow b4 in my entire life eventhough i was in Aussie. I seen and touched snow in Gentings!! It was round -4C in that place. We were given jackets and gloves which stank and was wet but i didnt mind. Immediatly when we stepped in our breath came out in vapors. COoool! Then i dont know what took over me, Maybe its too much excitement at one go or the snow was too much for me to handle or the brain froze or its just sheer joy, I ran round the place like a little kid. I scooped up snow and threw a generous amount on my friend and i even went few rounds down the kiddies slide. But the ultimate was the giganto slide. Ok i dont know what its called but it involves a float and a massive curvy slide. It was worth the climb all the way to the top. Went sliding down the thing at high speeds. WEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

My butt was numb after that, my jeans was cold and wet, my new Puma shoes was wet and soggy but i didnt mind at all!! It took a while for my butt to thaw. Amanda very happy! We decided not to waste our tickets so we headed out to the outdoor theme park again. It was pouring even heavier. Craps. After it has subsided we went boating again. Except that i fell heavily on the way there.
Rain + Slippery floor boards + a fat girl = A very thunderous fall and a large bruise on her ass now. OUCH. It still hurts like mad now. Pls pray for my butt.

Thats about it for my adventures in Genting. Took a lot of pictures. Will dedicate a whole post on its later. Have to go for now. My mom wants to go out.

Laters!!

Began listening to the old school songs recently. Came upon this song by Brandy. Enjoyed the lyrics too.

HAVE YOU EVER
Brandy

Have you ever loved somebody so much
It makes you cry
Have you ever needed something so bad
You can't sleep at night
Have you ever tried to find the words
But they don't come out right
Have you ever,have you ever
Have you ever been in love
Been in love so bad
You'd do anything to make them understand
Have you ever had someone steal your heart away
You'd give anything up to make them feel the same
Have you ever searched for words to get you in their heart
But you don't know what to say
And you don't know where to start

Have you ever loved somebody so much
It makes you cry
Have you ever needed something so bad
You can't sleep at night
Have you ever tried to find the words
But they don't come out right
Have you ever,have you ever
Have you ever found the one
You've dreamed of all your life
You'd do just about anything to look into their eyes
Have you finally found the one you've given your heart to
Only to find that one won't give their heart to you
Have you ever closed your eyes and
Dreamed that they were there
And all you can do is wait for that day when they will care

Have you ever loved somebody so much
It makes you cry
Have you ever needed something so bad
You can't sleep at night
Have you ever tried to find the words
But they don't come out right
Have you ever,have you ever
What do I gotta do to get you in my arms baby
What do I gotta say to get to your heart
To make you understand how
I need you next to me
Gotta get you in my world
'Cuz baby I can't sleep

Have you ever?

Ola~

Yesterday I had a wonderful time. Reason being:

1) Good food - Eventhough slightly pricey. But high class you know
2) Great company - My lovely girlies. Thanx Ling for coming all the way back from Penang just for me. Thanks Gill for making the bookings and looking for the place. Thanks Si Lai for being there. Thanx to the guys for making the evening lovelier with the appearance. Got guys i feel safer. Haha
3) Me looking good. Hahaha. This one was self proclaimed. Looking good made me feel confident. Thanx to the designers at Urban & Co. for making a dress that compliments my figure. Thanx to Vincci for making the heels that completed my outfit. Thanx to my own ingenuity that made the whole outfit work. Mua ha ha
4) Most importantly, All thanx be to God that has blessed me abundance and that has and always be looking out for me no matter where i go.

So, the evening started with Ling picking me up. Only had like 15 mins to do my hair and make up. Had hardly my mascara on when she came. So needless to say my face looked like a disaster. Anyways. We went to Midvalley in search of another fren's bday gift. Ok we can skip all of that. So we arrived early to the place. Its called "
La Bodega" in Bangsar. Its like casual fine Spanish dining. We ordered several different dishes of Tapas (Any of various small, savory Spanish dishes, often served as a snack or with other tapas as a meal). We had (let me see if i can remember) escargot, lobster & shrimp croquette, lamb cutlets, button mushrooms with some fancy sauce, some deep fried calamari, and a moorish chicken kebab. Those came in very small portions so pls do not be alarmed. They came with 2 big baskets of bread. Then for main course we had 2 types of Paella. One with rice and the other, pasta. In the paella was prawns, peas, mussels, squid etc. Was delicious! The pasta wasnt that nice but the rice was great! Moving on to dessert, we had 3 types of single scoop ice cream. Cookies & cream, Kalamansi (dangerous one), one alcoholic one involving rum and something i forgot. The Kalamansi was lime ice cream i think. With NO added sugar. No wonder it said 93% fat free. More like 93% stomach ulser causing agent. You should have seen me and Gillian. We took a large spoonful each and once we ate it our face shrunk like a raisin. Had loads of fun and laughter. All of us looked amazing with our dresses and short skirts.

Ok. After La Bodega we went to Matrix in Phileo Damansara. Its a bistro with lotsa pool tables. Had a drink called Seabreeze. Alcoholic duh. But was quite watered down. Would have ordered several more if it wasnt for my rapidly thinning wallet. Played some pool too. Not very good at it but hey atleast i gave it a shot. Only arrived home at 2am in the morn. Exhausted but happy.

Heres the part everyone is waiting for. Its picture time! Do enjoy ...

Sorries guys, was like a gazillion years ago since i've posted anything. I have a lot to talk about but its the lazy factor that's stopping me.

Okay so, went to watch Pirates of the Caribbean 2 in 1 Utama GSC on Thursday. The movie was terrific, fantastic, great, wonderful, funny, exciting!! All good. Have got no bad comments for it at all. Definately would watch it again. I think its better than the first. There is definately going to be a part 3 for this movie as the 2nd ended in a weird way. Oh ya. Sorry for spoiling the story for those not watching but Johnny Depp got eaten by a giant octopus called the Kracken. It was funny when they showed the title beneath it was the Bahasa Malaysia subtitle and it read "Harta Lelaki Mati" LOL LOL LOL. Direct translations at it's best. So my advice to everyone, GO WATCH THE MOVIE!

Had so much fun that day. Before the movie had lunch in Chilis. Ordered a Tomato, basil pasta. Heres me gorging myself. It was delicious eventhough it could do better if its not so sour. Definately not for people with severe gastric problem.

Having a dilemma now. Should i chop off my long locks? What style fits me? Where to cut? AIYO! It's giving me a severe headache just thinking about it. Sorry la. I'm a vain pot/wok/bucket i know. So if you have any advice for me pls pls pls pray do tell. Thanks! Heres how my hair looks now btw.

Gotta go now. Have a very important dinenr later with my girlies. Have to doll myself up now. Trying to mask my imperfections with make up. Deceiving myself and the world. Hahaha .. Haih .. But i get to wear my new dress and new heels! Yippee! Show you pics later.

I'm outta here. Ciao~

I was suprised that i actually stayed up to watch the game this morning. It was a match between France and Portugal. Started at 3 am but was awaken by my bro at 4 am. So what the heck, might as well watch it since i'm awake. I wouldnt say that i'm a huge fan of France. I'm just a huge fan of Thierry Henry thats all. Mua ha ha. Hey can you blame me? He's cute okay! Those eyes and that smile! "droooooooool" Okay enough of my school girl fantacies. The game was generally boring really. France focused on the defence and Portugal was fierce on trying to score a goal. There were a few injuries here and there. Miguel had to be subed cause of some leg injury. His fault. Some guy from France got whacked by the ball. But overall no one died so that's good news. So in the end France won. Score was 1-0. Eventhough Portugal lost they played a good game till the end. 2 thumbs up for effort. But France WOO HOOOOOO!!! I'm gonna start practicing my french from now on. Maybe i'll learn enough to sing the national anthem. hehe. So in the WC finals we will witness the battle between France and Italy. France all they way!
